5 Things You Can Do to Keep Your Child's Smile Healthy

I'm a list person.  I like making lists and I like reading lists.  Something about the list format makes hearing good advice easier.  Trident wants bloggers to get the word out about dental health so I've come up with 5 super easy things you can do today to help keep your children's smiles healthy!

1. Get a timer and put it in your bathroom, set it for 2 minutes for your kids so they know how long to brush their teeth.  2 minutes may not seem like a very long time, but to a child, 2 minutes might as well equal 2 seconds.  If you have something they can physically see while they are brushing their teeth, it takes all the guess work out of it.

2. If I know we're not going to be in an easy place to brush teeth after a gooey snack or meal, I have my kids chew a piece of sugarless gum, it helps!

3. Flossing, I know, I know, grooooannnn.  It's such a pain, especially for kids, but if you start good habits now, they'll last forever!

4. Remember to give kids nutritious things to snack on like apples.  Good for the belly and good for the teeth!

5. Last but not least, regular dental chekups....so important to catch problems early before they become full blown nightmares!

Personalized Gifts: QuackBack Review

I get so tired of giving the same old cards and gifts to people.  I love finding companies and products that go the extra mile with personalized thought and new gift ideas.  QuackBack is one such company.

QuackBack creates the cutest underwear for inspiration for special women in your life.  The pictures on their website alone brought a smile to my face because the ducks they use in their prints are just so adorable.  How cute is this "No Peep Shows" duck print? Perfect for someone who is maybe a bit nervous about an upcoming surgery or hospital stay.

There are 4 different underwear styles to choose from, boy leg, bikini, high cut brief, and string bikini and many different colors to choose from as well.

QuackBack was generous enough to send me a pair of undies that I designed on their site. It was super easy to design them and choose what I wanted.  I ended up choosing the boy leg in black with their "Just Ducky" design on it.  (And no, I am not telling you my size!) They came in a super-cute pink envelope with ducks on the outside.  Anyone would enjoy getting the package in the mail! The style was exactly what I chose and fit great, my hubby kinda liked them too!

During the checkout process you can include a personalized note along with the gift.  Very cute idea!

I really loved this gift idea, what better way to bring a smile to a loved one's face then with a cute pair of these undies.

QuackBack will also be offering some new products in the fall including a children's line, onesies, bibs, and mugs along with 5 new designs!

Pearista Pen to Paper Challenge

With all the craziness of emails and texts, I miss the intimacy of the written letter.  I can't remember the last time I received a letter just to say hello and I am thinking of you.  It's a lost art.  So I decided to accept the Pen to Paper Challenge as part of being a Pearista for Pear Tree Greetings.

Pear Tree Greetings is a personalized stationary company that I am affiliated with.  They have challenged us to write a personal letter to someone in our life each week for the next four weeks.

This has been a pretty rough year for our family especially financially.  I am so incredibly grateful for the help of family and friends while we have been struggling through this economy, as I am sure many of you have.  I will be writing some heartfelt thank you letters to these people over the next few weeks.  I will be blogging about this a bit more in the coming days.

Disclosure: Pearistas are entered into a drawing for each week we complete the challenge for a chance to win $50 worth of products to put towards upcoming holiday cards.

William Bounds Limited Review

Cooking for my family is one of the many things I enjoy doing on a daily basis.  That being said, we are not breakfast people.  Generally speaking we are a cereal and coffee people.  But, we do love eating breakfast for dinner, especially pancakes, yummy!  William Bounds sent me their Sili Jumbo Jack spatula to try out and I am in love with it.

First off, their picture doesn't do it justice, the spatula part is huge, perfect for oversized pancakes.  Here is a picture I took of it so you can better understand the hugeness of it.

It's made of silicone and stainless steel and the large aforementioned size is perfect for some serious pancake flipping or omelete turning.  I have not seen anything like it in stores in my area.  It washes off quite easily and since it's resistant to heat up to 500 degrees, I put it through the dishwasher and it came through nicely.

William Bounds makes other fantastic home products like this funky pepper mill:

Or this Grainware Swirl Server:

They offer so many great selections, perfect for upcoming holiday gifts!

Where to buy

William Bounds products are available on their website www.wmboundsltd.com.
The Sili Jumbo Jack is available on their site for $20.00.

Eco-friendly Products: Ecostore USA Review

I love trying out new products and I double-love finding products that are eco-friendly. Al Gore would be so proud.  Ecostore USA has a slew of eco-friendly products for the home and after recently getting the chance to try out a couple, I can relay that these eco-friendly products work just as well as the name brands in the store.   Plus, take a look at their packaging, I'm a sucker for great packaging.

I was given the opportunity to try out their Auto Dishwash Powder which worked fantastic and I felt good about it being eco-friendly.  No streaks on my dishes and I should tell you that I am not the best at completely getting all the gunk off my dirty dishes before loading them.  Loved it!

I also got to try out their Sleepytime Bath for babies.  Newbie is now a full fledged 3 month old, but his bath still makes him pretty sleepy.  The Sleepytime Bath spelled amazing.  Newbie is a pretty calm baby to begin with, but the lavender aroma especially was very calming for Newbie and for me.

I love transparency in the products I buy and Ecostore USA's website lists their ingredients right on the product page.  This definitely gives it plus rating in my book.  I am a relative newbie when it comes to what ingredients are good and what ingredients are bad.  But I like the fact that I can look up the ingredients before purchasing the products from their site.

Where to buy it

All of their products are available for purchase on their website at www.ecostoreusa.com. The Auto Dish Powder sells for $12.00 and their Sleepytime Bath sells for $11.00.  Ecostore USA also offers a range of products for pet care and Bath & Body care.

How to Connect

Check out EcoStore USA on facebook and twitter @ecostoreusa

Disclosure: EcoStore USA sent me the above mentioned 2 products to facilitate this review, I was not compensated in any way, all opinions are 100% my own.
